Epilogos Charities, Inc. in San José Villanueva, El Salvador Issue 1

This little girl needed a special wheelchair. Epilogos and our friends like you, made it happen. Thank you!Dear friends of EPILOGOS,

May this e-newsletter, our first ever, find you in good health as the holiday season approaches. We’ve decided this is a great way to communicate with you on a regular basis.

So with this first issue, we want to let you know that Epilogos needs new funds. Specifically, we need $50,000!

Why? Because we want to assure sustainability of Epilogos by establishing it as a Salvadoran Non Profit run by Salvadorans, in collaboration with Epilogos USA. You will be hearing much more about this in the months to come.

We regret not having corresponded with so many of you who have been loyal contributors to our efforts. So, somewhat shamefully and we suppose, shamelessly, we are asking you now for your special year-end tax deductible donation.

We have had well over a thousand volunteers visit us since 2002, and have hundreds of supporters who have kept our projects alive, many of whom have had their lives transformed by the experience. If each volunteer or friend of Epilogos could part with just $50 or more, we could meet our goal by Christmas! Of course, other amounts are always gratefully appreciated.

Literally, thousands of Salvadoran citizens have benefited from your kindness as the accompanying list of projects shows below.

But we’ve outgrown our ability to manage all that we do with the limited resources we have. THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO DO!

So, if the spirit moves you, get out your checkbook and help us.

Since the beginning we have felt that God has played a hand in calling Mike & Susie in 2002 to drop everything and come back to San José Villanueva where they served in the Peace Corps 50 years ago. As they say, “We feel that together, we have made a big difference in the lives of thousands of people who through no fault of their own were born in impoverished conditions.”

We ask that all of you regular, generous contributors ignore this letter, or step up once again… and that those who have not yet helped financially to do so now.

Please note that Mike & Susie receive no salary and that the Epilogos Board of Directors receives no compensation. We are operating with a bare bones budget. Such is our collective commitment to this wonderful organization.

We look forward to hearing from you!
